Heavenly Adriatic

Nestled between Italy and the Balkan Pensinsula, the sparkling Adriatic Sea is the most northerly part of the Mediterranean. Our Heavenly Adriatic cruise is the perfect itinerary to showcase this turquoise coastline, and for those travelers who crave history, culture, and something a little bit different. From scaling city walls to climbing volcanic peaks, strolling charming fishing harbors to sampling local fare, this is a beautifully varied vacation.  
 
Starting from our home port of Athens, the first stop is in Kefalonia, the largest Ionian island. Here, there are natural treasures to be explored, and hours to be whiled away with a drink overlooking the harbor. Next, Croatia’s city by the sea, Dubrovnik beckons. Historic architecture, winding city streets, and vibrant culture are waiting to be discovered. The next day begins in Montenegro, at the UNESCO world heritage site of Kotor. A city with a 2,000 year history, the spectacular bay is a backdrop to medieval buildings, Venetian palaces, ornate churches and Romanesque cathedrals.  
 
Of course, a stop in Italy is a must. The port town of Bari welcomes visitors with bustling markets, historical charm, and the smell of freshly-baked focaccia wafting through the streets. Back in Greece, a stop in cosmopolitan, charming and friendly Corfu awaits, before the final day spent in Katakolo. This sleepy fishing village is close to the ancient city of Olympia – the home of the Olympic Games. There’s a chance to explore the wealth of priceless artefacts, or to simply relax on a stunning 50-mile sandy beach. And finally it’s back to Athens, to end this incredible journey.
